All subjects undergoing health checkups are reminded that even though screenings can effectively diagnose a disease in advance and reduce its threat to your health, all examination items and medical instrument-based screenings do not have full sensitivity to various diseases. In addition, due to the diversity of the individual characteristics and health statuses of subjects, it is impossible to fully diagnose every disease.
Furthermore, after receiving a checkup, it is recommended that you receive follow-ups or treatment according to the doctor's recommendations, adjust your daily lifestyle, and avoid risk factors that may affect your health, so as to achieve the fullest potential of healthcare management and preventive medicine.
- Aim of examination:Cardiovascular disease ranks among the three leading causes of death in Taiwan. Angiography can accurately detect the extent of coronary artery blockage. This imaging technique can also assess the risk of stroke.
- Examinations include: Echocardiography, carotid ultrasonography, heart rate variability, pulse wave velocity, coronary computed tomography angiography, advanced cerebrovascular imaging, etc.

Cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease and stroke are among the major health concerns for the Taiwanese public. Therefore, it is crucial to undergo an assessment of atherosclerosis risk, which is the cause of these diseases. Evidence-based medicine over the past decades has shown that the factors promoting the formation of atherosclerosis include smoking, hypertension, diabetes, aging, and various lipid disorders such as elevated cholesterol levels, elevated low-density lipoprotein levels, reduced high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels, and an elevated triglycerides to HDL-cholesterol ratio. Other risk factors that can affect or deteriorate cardiovascular conditions include obesity (in particular abdominal obesity), a lack of physical activity, a family history of premature coronary artery disease, psychosocial factors, hyperhomocysteinemia, increased clotting (such as elevated fibrin and recombinant factor VIIa levels), and elevated levels of biomarkers of inflammation (such as C-reactive protein). Therefore, a complete assessment of cardiovascular risk should include all of the aforementioned items.
Meanwhile, an assessment of cardiovascular risk examines the organs susceptible to atherosclerosis or pathological changes. A comprehensive examination can distinguish between organs without pathological changes (preclinical stage) and organs with pathological changes (clinical stage). In terms of the preclinical stage, three groups are defined according to their ten-year risk of being diagnosed with cardiovascular disease i.e. the low-risk, medium-risk, and high-risk groups. We provide medical consultation and nutrition consulting services, with the hope of reducing the rate of cardiovascular disease diagnosis among our customers and placing them in the low-risk group. For those with pathological changes, we offer advanced treatment and healthcare strategies as well.
