Cerebrovascular and Cognitive Function Examination Package

All subjects undergoing health checkups are reminded that even though screenings can effectively diagnose a disease in advance and reduce its threat to your health, all examination items and medical instrument-based screenings do not have full sensitivity to various diseases. In addition, due to the diversity of the individual characteristics and health statuses of subjects, it is impossible to fully diagnose every disease.

Furthermore, after receiving a checkup, it is recommended that you receive follow-ups or treatment according to the doctor's recommendations, adjust your daily lifestyle, and avoid risk factors that may affect your health, so as to achieve the fullest potential of healthcare management and preventive medicine.

  • Aim of examination: In Taiwan, the prevalence of dementia among people over the age of 65 years old is around 8%, while stroke has always been the main cause of disability among the Taiwanese public. Our brain health checkup package consists of blood tests and brain imaging, as well as scales and cognitive assessments, so as to achieve the early detection of potential cognitive impairment, cerebrovascular disease, and dementia, thereby facilitating the implementation of intervention measures for treatment and delaying the onset of age-related problems.

The examinations include: relevant blood tests, carotid ultrasonography, brain MRI and angiography, and cognitive assessments.

Notice

  1. Apart from getting enough rest on the night before the examination, no other special preparations are required.
  2. A contrast agent will not be administered in our brain MRI. However, you must follow the guidelines below:
    (1) Please do not use cosmetics or hair gels, so as to prevent skin discomfort and interference with the imaging process.
    (2) If you have undergone heart or vascular surgery; have a pacemaker, aneurysm clip, bone screw, or metal plate as a result of surgery; or have any metal implant, please call and inform us of your condition beforehand.
    (3) Please do not bring any metallic jewelry such as hair accessories or hair clips, mobile phones, or magnetic objects such as bank cards into the examination room.
