Examinees with a chronic illness must comply with their physician's medication order because self-withdrawal may pose threats to health. However, since examinees are required to fast before the examination, we recommend you to temporarily hold medications on the day of the examination. Please do bring your medications with you to the Center and take them if our healthcare professionals determine that it is fine for you to do so. If you are taking anticoagulants and other special medications, please discuss with your attending physician to determine the timing of medication cessation.

Examination procedure

For the sake of the confidentiality and the comfort of the environment, we regret to decline non-examinees as companions while examinations. However, examinees who are unable to perform daily living activities on their own are allowed to bring one companion. Please inform us in advance so that we can arrange a comfortable examination setting for you.

Each examinee will be assisted by a dedicated health services manager on the day of examination. If you tend to get anxious easily, please inform us in advance so that we can optimize the examination procedure for you.

Female examinees can still receive the examination even during their menstrual period. However, the urinalysis, fecal occult blood, and pap smear tests can only be done after the end of menstrual period for reliable results. Our staffs will schedule the reexamination of these items for you on the day of your examination.

These days the breast implants during breast enhancement procedures are mostly filled with saline, which does not affect the accuracy of mammography or breast ultrasound imaging. Please inform us in advance if you have previously received breast plastic surgery. We recommend examinees with silicone injections to undergo breast MRI instead of mammography or breast ultrasound imaging because the X-rays and ultrasound waves are unable to penetrate through the silicone, thus reducing the accuracy of the results.

Caused by the need to drink a laxative the night before or in the early morning. Another reason is the potential nervousness, anxiety, and uneasiness caused by the examination settings. Please relax and get as much rest as you can. After the examination, our nurses will re-assess your blood pressure level before you leave the Center.

To facilitate the health examination and medical record query procedures, we strongly recommend against scheduling other outpatient appointments on the day of your health examination.
